Protabaco has entered a strategic alliance with Fi-Tech, Inc. of Richmond, Virginia, and Arkote Ltd. of Sheffield, England, covering the Arkote range of knives and Adamantine diamond grinding discs used in the production of cut tobacco, cigars and cigarettes.
Jeffrey G. Bassett, Managing Director of Fi-Tech, travelled to the Dominican Republic to conclude the agreement and to meet manufacturers in the region alongside the Protabaco team.
Under the alliance, Arkote products are held at Protabaco’s Santiago warehouse, shortening delivery times for Dominican manufacturers and placing technical support on the ground alongside the stock.
