Protabaco has been appointed official distributor and representative in the Dominican Republic for Esband tobacco and cigarette tapes and belts, manufactured by Max Schlatterer GmbH & Co. KG.
The appointment followed a visit to Esband’s headquarters in Herbrechtingen on 27 November 2025, where the Protabaco team met Jens Färber, Managing Director, Denis Maier, Head of Sales Tobacco, and Manuel Illenberger, Technical Sales Tobacco.
The same European trip included a visit to Arkote’s operation in Sheffield on 21 November 2025, where Protabaco met Managing Director Peter Oxspring and Commercial Director Rob Andrews.
Esband belts and tapes are now held in stock in Santiago and supplied locally.
